Nsambya Furniture Workshop was founded by Ivan Ssegujja, born on April 8th, 2000, with a clear mission: to elevate Ugandan furniture by delivering exceptional design, strength, and locally inspired craftsmanship. His love for design, dedication to excellence, and strong work ethic turned a small dream into a national brand.
About the Founder
Ssegujja Ivan is more than just the founder of Nsambya Furniture Workshop he is a builder of ideas, institutions, and opportunities. With an eye for design and a heart for community empowerment, Ivan has positioned the workshop as not only a business but also a force for social and economic growth.
Beyond furniture, Ivan is also the Director of Photography at MBC TV, a fast-rising media platform shaping Uganda’s digital and entertainment landscape, and the visionary behind Nsambya Furniture Workshop FC, a community football team that gives young talent a platform to shine. His multi-sector impact reflects his belief that entrepreneurship is not only about profit but also about transforming lives.
Ivan is married in holy matrimony to Mirembe Irene Nagawa, a respected entrepreneur, founder of Mirembe Curtains & Beddings and CEO at MBTV. Together, they represent a partnership rooted in family values, creativity, and service to the Ugandan home improvement industry.
